Been having this song ringing in the inner skull of my brains. Not to

sure why but it sure is a nice song to be listening to.

2 more wkends have gone by.. Seems like the old birds are getting

on with the games of drinking and getting trashed at their games.

if you know what i mean then good, else its not for you! Anyway,

test are coming once again. Law, systems and then met.. Its

time to get cracking with the books. But first, drinking on wkends

have prove to be good with the idea of it not being at our home,

cleaning up has been juz cleaning up. hahaha... but its all good

to start with..

Had a welcoming celebration for the Msy 54 at aeroclub the

wkend juz pass. It was a massive turn out and it actually bring

back memories of back in airforce where everyone juz come

out from the study hole and mingle around with the instructors

and everyone possible. Drinking, BBQ food and of coz the usual

sillyness of everyone possible. haha.. Tom and his leg wrestle,

Msy 54 guys manning the BBq station and serving some

awesome BBQ food.. Its all good till guys get drunk and do

silly stuff.. oh well, we are humans after all.. Interesting fren met

in Msy 54 was San San.. She is a malaysian who has spend

5 years in NZ and juz decided to transfer over to ATPL after

doing 4 years or so on vet nurse.. Interesting swop on that.

Tomboy appearance, doesn`t really drink and speak like a true

asian in most cases in english only. haha.. She had said

something which will pretty much stay in the hus of Clearview

for a long while.. haha..

Party at east street and town was pretty cool.. Had loads of fun

and some fresh party ppl joining us on our entourage to town.

Point to note: Joyce cannot dance for nuts and she is extremely

tickle-lish. Amy is the act cool kina person on the dance floor and

Jac is gone in 2 bottles.. hahaha.. Facts of our life isn`t it.. Get to

find out more abt our new fren joyce tis wkend. She doesn`t drink

to begin with and have nv really club even in singapore. Gets high

on red bull as it give her "wings" to fly i guess and when the highness

disappear, she crashes. haha... I wld say its a pretty fun nite to start

with! no issues or whatsoever...

After a couple of wks

Juz had a walk around the block. around 5.37km for less then an hour. Been awhile since we last walk. Had some reacquiring ankle problems bothering my movement, but all seems well now. At least that is the happenings around my ankle.

Quite abit have happen since the last blog update. Chinese new year happened on the 14th of Feb which is also valentine's day. Auntie Lim went over to Aussie land to celebrate CNY with her family. Lotsa makan session going around and hus visit with Amy's and Paul's baby first month. Merlion club first gather and classes...

Auntie was plan on a trip to Aussie land to celebrate CNY with her family, specially when her brother is there on studies. A wk clear of someone knocking on the door in the morning and waking up suresh to ask him to go run. Point to Note: Aunite dun run, she juz wake suresh up to ask him to go do his run. hahaha.... But other then that, she was kina missed at home, with her gone, the hus became much quieter. hehe..

My chinese new year dinner was with lionel only since the rest of the 2 guys were working and getting busy.. well, at least there was tasty chicken soup from Bean Cafe.. Yummy.. Then the next best thing for chinese new year was going to Amy's place (bean cafe's HQ) for visiting.. Cookies and goodies come pouring out of the containers.. It was my best nite ever with all the chinese cookies which i have been dreaming abt. They can really bake and cook... How i wish i have that kina skill..

Part 2 of chinese new year visit was at Paul's place. He is the mechanic that most of the singaporeans in palmy goes to. Nice guy and his wife is a singaporean. They have a son who was celebrating his first month on earth as well.. lots of makan again. By uncle Patrick from Mana Kitchen. I miss singapore food.. Thanx for having Mana Kitchen...

Classes has been up beating with having classes on most of the morning and chilax in the afternoon. Thereafter, test and exams start pouring in throu' the next few wks.. Never a breaking moment to catch some breather.. Never fail to look forward to flying wk.

Had a couple of full sports day on mid Feb flying wk.. Was nuthing but badminton and soccer.. Those were the days where sweat juz run off my face. haha.. need that to keep running.. Need to to keep running, sports and sweating it out!

Merlion Club first meet up was on last wkend. Not to bad a turn out with most of the ppl covered were seniors. but never the less, always good to meet some friends here and there.. Had a pretty bad wasted nite the nite before. Was fun to start with but not to cool the next day as i strengthen my abs by turning my tummy inside out the whole morning.. drit.. well, haven't got soo wasted since 1 year 7 months ago..

Its been a while since i wrote my blog, better start something before it turn into a monthly affair..

Its been awhile since i last wrote on my blog.. Been really busi with things and information floating in from all directions.

Sch sort of started in proper with waking up at 8am on some days and most at 9.30am.. Getting my ass to class and sitting throu the lesson is no joke.. But thats how life is.. 3 Main flying papers for me due CPL nav was unsuccessful back then.. Sianz.. Doing papers that i have already passed is really getting on my nerve sometimes. But well, its kina fun to get back to class again.. reading up the information printed on the A4 paper and making sense of how i can apply it in flight. Hope i wld Ace these papers as well, like i did before..

Sims are coming along with the idea of completing Sim check 1 asap. Then after will be conversion to the new aircrafts.. DA-40s... Rumor has it that there are currently heaps of problem lingering in the bay of that aircraft. Hasn`t even been a year yet and the problems are surfacing. I wonder how it wld be when the new class comes in and leave their prints on them. and btw, Msy 54 is huge.. There is like 30 odd close to 40 students in that class.. What is massey thinking? There is gona be a planning problem, currency problem and maybe some body bags will be issued.. oh boy...

Haven't been doing much of work out due sch time and bored time.. The laziness have finally step in and the wanting to juz step back and watch movie at home is juz soo soo good.. But nevertheless, we manage to get some walking and jogging done couple of days in a row and badminton is still as good.. But the problem is, I broke my string..

Weird story abt that, Suresh broke his racket into two, follow by me breaking my string on my nano fire and lastly Lionel follow suit on the broken string.. What a series of events.. But things dun always go down hill, suresh got a new racket throu the warranty from Rabel sports. Lionel's and my rackets are being re-string as per 5 hours ago and will be ready for collection by lunch tml.. Time to get back the fire on the racket and set some "cocks" on fire.. haha.. and re-stringing cost alot in NZ.. its like $35 Nz juz to string it up.. whats with that.. crap...

Juz got a check on my car and it will cost $770 just to get it repair! Apparently, some sus. bushes and arms are broken and if it had break when i was driving, i wld be in heaven by now.. Hai.. Issues never seems to stop when times are good.. Well, i guess all i can do is to guard my heart and pray to God and ask him to fill me in on areas that i`m lack in, finance wise, luck wise or even ppl wise..

Been receiving some daily words from New creation church newsletter thingy. It has brighten my day somehow as it provided me with some words of wisdom.. Like the recent one which tells me of the power of words and how i speak them into my life. We are fast in condemning our life and life of ppl around us that we dun realise that its just as easy to bring live into our lifes and others.. Its the power of our words and how we take them.. Seems easy enough!

Its been awhile since i got back to palmy! to be exact its 5days and 3 hours counting.. Not being an idiot but juz felt that time is multiplying unknowingly! Hope it multiply more when i`m in singapore..

Couple of things have gone by, like Sonny's birthday celebration with guys from Roy st. at Lone Star. The food and company was gr8.. Ribs, steaks, chickens and not forgetting, getting the birthday boy tipsy.. I believe everyone did a good job in that, at least he was high even before having his proper meal. No fault intended, but oh well...

Had been walking almost on every evening to get the body moving.. It feels like a hus affair as everyone in the hus gets on their feet and walk as one. Went down for a pretty long one some time back, guess was around 5 km and we had some soccer time at roy st backyard. Then another juz around to the airport which shld be around 2.8km. The sunset on both days were beautiful.. as the sun sets away beyond the horizon and the moon and stars form up in line to brighten the night sky! Hardly see such sights in singapore..

Back to the badminton court today since the last played late last year.. This time, we were prepared with personal rackets and shuttlecock. Took some time to get use to the racket and the game play! but it was gr8 sweating out and playing non stop for 2 hours.. jumping around.. dashing up n down and laughing n joking with one another. Thanx Jacinta for the gr8 time and for booking the courts.. This shall be our routine workout.. Shld call more ppl to get a bigger game play!..

Green day it was for our hus walking session. Walked down to Pak n Save which was abt 10 ish km from home. Abt 2 hours plus minus walk non stop.. Mission was to go and grab some drinks, fruits and prawns for lunch/dinner tml.. Armed with a backpack, handphones and wallets. We made our way throu the hospital, husing areas and town. but lots of laughter and information shared around the hus mates.. This is a gr8 bonding time that the guys came up with.. Well, at least we are sharing information and getting to know each other better... Lionel was the chief for the day, as he was on the phone with Germs as we exit off the hus..

Here goes another day.. How i wish time wld fly faster! (On normal days at least)

14th of Jan marks the end of my holiday in Singapore as i depart back to Palmy via Christchurch n Wellington.

The unwillingness to leave home seems to swell up faster then the other times when i gone back. Brothers and sisters came down to send me off at the airport as well as close frens! Started to missed my parents the moment i step throu' the gate towards the immigration officer.

This trip home sort of sort out most of my depressed emotion as well as straightening me up on what is it in my interesting life. Having the opportunity to widen my circle of friends and as well as forming a deeper bonds with current brothers and sisters. As cliques as it may seems, tough time brings ppl together as well as show us who are the real bros and sis we really have around us!

The Lagoonah family will be going throu' quite abit of changes this year with couple of us going overseas, nigel and deb tying the knot with their wedding on 010111.. Can't wait for that day to celebrate with my bro and sis.. Kina see them get together on that faithful day at Attica.. The interesting dance move that nigel showed me with deb.. hmm.... Nicole will be embarking on her journey to sydney to further her studies for a couple of years then to new york much ltr. Baby sis of the family is finally leaving home to pursue her dreams. Can`t wait to meet her up for some skiing or juz chilling with some drinks. Jack will be going into Airforce for his go in being the RSAF pilot! All the best and i pray for his safety and may he njoy his time in training.. I believe Eve will be there no matter what for jack.. Fir, is having his fight at work as he work his hardest to see his company get back on the safe track. Overwork and under paid, but full of passion and compassion.. Shyanne is having a fantastic time with her hubby and as well as njoying herself in the family gathering. Last but not least, Audie going on with her seafood pasta.. Wonder when will we get to see her in person..

Spend quite abit of my time with my baby cousin tis time round. Its been fun connecting with christine and understanding more of my little dear girl. We dun have to be direct blood related to show brotherly or sisterly love for one another. This is what i call family love; Care and Concern, Love and Protect. No matter what happen, these are the ppl we can fall back on when all darkness seems to engulf us within.

Also spend more time with my poly brothers and glad to see that everyone is moving into what they have been working soo hard for the passed few years in uni. Njoying life and as well as having a tast of working life in it simplest. Next wld be seeing them getting married! Think Raja will have to organise more events with safra SDU to widen the circle n as well as networking. Praying for good news to come year end!

Have a awesome time in SP camps and events. Met with loads of new frens and as well as old ones. Interesting character there is in the group n everyone is focus in their task given. Great ppl to work with.. Cld never as for any different.. Hope to work with them some how in the future.. More camps if my bone can carry! G.O.O.D.J.O.B! Goodjob!! Goodjob!!

Realize how messed up i was when i first got back to church.. Everything that lives in me seems to have crashed and burnt. Its definitely not a good thing. But nevertheless, a good church brings off the life in us and will always have a way to bring us back to where we shld be. With wonderful caregroup and brothers alike like Kelvin n Joab, to put be back on the right path. Life always seem brighter. I thank the Lord for giving me these wonderful ppl in my life that i may not turn into the devil i am. Ladies in the caregroup were kind and supportive as well, not to sure why, but never really see such motivated and supportive group of girls before anywhere. Its truly God sent.. Amen...

Well, these are juz some of the interesting time i had.. words are juz words which can never express fully of the gratitude of how appreciative of what i have in singapore and the ppl, bros and sis i have!

Was packing my bag to head back to the land of rubbish.. As i was going trouble my cupboards and folders, I found some documents from sec school and poly days.

N Guess whatelse i have spotted?

This is a diary that was given to us to write while we are cadets in OCS.. Had 2 of it but the one for the Cadet Wing Commanders' need to be pass on to the next guy. So this is my personal copy of what goes on in my 10 months of training to be an officer.

Reading it brings back a nostalgic feeling that i couldn't explain. My english command wasn't that good at that point of time as i converse mostly in mandarin. Reading throu' the diary, i couldn't believe that i have actually graduate from sec sch and poly with acceptable grades. God so help me in this. Haha.. Word structure and sentence must have left me to die by myself. But nevertheless, the main idea was the thots and feelings i had during that period of time. It was never completed but the entry i made made me feel good that i was once an OCT of Charlie wing. Many events like live firing and lesson plans hook back the memories i had with all my brothers in arms. These are definitely good and simple time where our sole mission is to survive 10 months training and be a better person for the government and the sociality that we live in.

Wonder if my other brothers will have their books. Wld be interesting to see what were their feelings back then! Haha... (Maggie Mee Parade, Confinement for something we din really do, Taiwan, brunei, social nite, etc... hahaha)

Couple more hours to the end of 2009..

A year with lots of different memories and feeling.. There are horrible times n as well as time that is worth keeping in order for one to grow n be a better person.

A testimony to God:

In Nov 2008, i got into a bike accident and broke 4 of my left ribs, bleeding in my spleen, fracture my pelvis in 3 places and lost some feeling on the left potion of my body. The accident was deem a high velocity accident n was lucky that i was left alive. The price i paid to do something i like. Was told to have to stay in hospital for almost a month to fully recover and numerous physio in order walk again and get back home to palmy. The nite of this news in the ICU got be really lost and like a huge rock resting on me.. My beeper went off as i let out a cry to the lord in fear and pain and the nurse stand beside me to make sure the system dun crash or maybe juz incase i needed assistants. Days passed without me being able to get out of the bed. I fought to be discharged as soon as there is a possibility but the only recommendation term the doc can offer is that i have to WALK out of the place by my own, even if its on a clutch. In the coming days i did what i need to with the strength and wisdom from the Lord. In almost 14 days from the point of accident, i proved to the doc and physiotherapy that i can manage to WALK out of the hospital w the clutch. Its truly the grace of GOD that is with me throughout this period of time that gave me what most people needed in the longs time to recover. The Lord's favour have always been on me.. I thank the Lord.. Amen..

Darkest times i had was in Palmy, with the recovery coming along. Love life was swaying in and out of my grasp. Studies got affected in one way or another but it was part and puzzle of life isn`t it? This relationship have turn me into the past demon as i am. The devil's blood once fill me with every single thots and believes and behaviors. I thot i will no long be able to walk out of it alive.. But the surprising thing was, i did! Number of sleepless nite have coz my body to overwork and hyper cells generated to keep going for hours and days like a energizer bunny. Time, frens and rite topic at times are impt to keep my sanity in check. I thank my brothers and sisters for understanding what had and have to happen.

Back in Singapore.. I tink this summer break that i`m having is kina different and interesting. Why? Becoz, this summer break, i have met up with a couple of brothers and sisters and as well as making lots and lots of new frens along the way. Meeting interesting ppl and forging new frenships. --

Did a camp for dunman sec recently and felt like my youth have sort of return back to me in full.. Love the idea of teach and guiding the younger generation and as well as seeing the ups and downs and nevertheless, the ugly looking T-shirt tan from walking and playing under the sun soo much! Will never forgo the outdoor life i have even when i`m older.. G.O.O.D.J.O.B.. Goodjob! Goodjob!!

Clubbing session was interesting as i got to see how singaporeans actually behave in clubs and as well as the whole package of doing to a club.. The que is horrible as you can take hours juz to get into Butter.. the dress sense of the current generation sort of got me confuse as to whether they know they are in singapore wearing thick jacket for guys and if the girls are parading their assets at the wrong time.. haha.. But maybe its in the name of good fun..

Never feel more alive in the couple of wks i have in singapore compare to the months i had in palmy.. Singapore to me, its really home. The good, the bad and the ugly of it spells out the uniqueness of home.

This is the last entry for 2009 and may 2010 be a better and blessed year for my family and myself! Brothers and Sisters alike be filled with unlimited health and blessing in whatever you guys are doing.. Always keep in touch n there is always a better tml.. Cheers...

Been home for a couple of wks now..

How do i know i`m home? Like my previous post abt home.. Another note that i can make now, is when i`m sitting in a bar (Wala Walas) with the crowd all around, having my getting warm beer and a plate of chicken wings. Shirlyn n The Unxpected are playing on the stage with the crowd singing to every songs that is coming out of the speakers.. brothers and sisters chatting away abt work and life in general.. This is home for me.. hahaha.. Weird but it is true..

I have not seem to find a perfect time to link up with the weather in singapore and let her know that she need to cool off alit! Its still damn freaking hot in the middle of the nite down orchard rd..

We never know how much we have fallen till we turn back and see how high we were once before! So what can we do? Look upon and climb back up again.. Pray for strength and endurance that it will all be easier since you have done it before.. pray that this time round, there will be more support from around and the fall wun be the same way again.. Pray...

Been back for awhile now...

Haven really consider myself back home till i have attended Church service and link up with all my brothers and sisters. Its an awesome feeling as these are the things that kept me sane and going during all the hardships that i had went through..

Church services was gr8 with being kina blur during the Gen Rav meeting at New creation church level 6. Still kina lost at what is Gen rav really.. Think they are consider the young adults and working class of the church. First few thing that came out of the pastor was abt looking for a life partner for this coming christmas. How i wish and pray if that was that easy. Interesting thing from the pastor was, in order to be fully out of one is to engage in another.. on certain level, that is kina try, provided you are not taking a rebounder. Well, wld be nice to spend christmas with someone i can really show my care and love for besides my family, brothers and sisters. Only if God is willing and if time is rite.. I will be ready for God to plant that seed in the heart and grow. Met up with the braddel care grp, din know the care grp that i one knew have split into 2 section. But we are still under the same church. soo its all good! Ladies from my CG are pretty as well.. haha... Had lunch with my brother and shared alot on what had happened over the past months. Time will tell lahz.. like Senson in his story, God have never left me and he will give back to me more folds then ever before.. Amen...

Meet the brothers and sis in arms for some awesome makan session at ECP.. gosh.. that place is warm ass even if its in the evening. Silly me for wearing a shirt, how wld i know even after a serious period of down pour, the heat still lingers around.. dank.. but the comforting thing wld be the food is still as good. stingray, bbq you tiao, some osyter in chill crab sauce, satay, sugar cane w lemon n some veges.. one of the best meal i ever had after coming back.. Nuthing beats the food in singapore.. This is home once again..

Think i wld seriously need to hit the gym and pool soon to burn of some energy and build back in shape alit to njoy more good food.. More to come with lots of interesting events coming my way.

Finally back on familiar grounds.. But kina got abit lost in the terminals as i come off the gates.. haha.. i blame it on the long period of time overseas.

Juz got back from NZ and went str8 to Bedok corner for some hokkien Mee and cheng teng. Its still good after soo long. Somethings dun change, which is awesome for me! Can`t wait to taste the rest of the food that i have been dreaming of.

Manage to link up with Shai and have a day event at fairway club. Haven`t been in the teambuilding event for the longest time. But it was an interesting day, catch with with some of the more familiar trainners and have a cute eye candy for the day! haha.. Good girls are worth looking at.

Clubs in singapore these days are filled with ppl, phuture was still having problems with its massive crowd and ppl fighting.. what a night. Will be going to Walas tonite.. hope its juz as fun..

Going home...

Couple more hours, i will be getting ready to change up and finalize my bags and document to leave this rubbish place for the year.. This will be the end of 2009 Palmy for me.. then a few more hours from that, i will be boarding a 777-300ER back to singapore.. Time to leave everything behind and leave. Yet there is something that i have not done.. Something that if i did, things will change drastically for me and ppl i know. Something that doesn`t have a good ring to it.. hmm...

Couple of hours to decide if its worth doing it. Life is an accident.. Sometimes things happened the way that is not planned!

Oh well, will be home soon to see my family and brothers and sisters..

Today, i kept my promise to a fren of mine.. I kept it to the very teeth of it. Am kina surprise that i`m able to keep if for the entire period of time. Almost had to break my leg to stop myself.. Anyway, there wun be a next time. Hopefully, God will show me an easier way to stop myself..

One more wk to home.. Kina do nuthing here in this rubbish land. Can`t believe that every freaking flight is full, even with the business class.. Why are there so many singaporeans in NZ? why are there so many people going to singapore during this period of time..? Why ?

Visit to Ohakea Airbase

Abt 30km north of Palmy is the base for 42SQN, 3rd SQN, PTS and some other SQN.. Its the home for most Kiwi pilot training ground.

This visit bring back memories..

Gone were the days when i was still a trainee in Singapore Air Force.. Flight suit, steel toe boots, patches, helmets and all that culture juz sink str8 in me. Ops, Planning room, Met brief in the morning, junior class doing the shit-est of jobs.. Last but not least, doing shouts at the mess and drinking all nite on the wkend with the instructors and crew.. It does spell out some wonderful time i use to have. At least it took some of my time away to think abt some stuff..

Sorting out the shit for next year, seems like it might not be easy for me as somethings wld juz stare back at you in your face. Can`t wait to get out of this course and head home. Its not the course that sat me back but the ppl that are in it! Its freaking disgusting and unreal at how human beings are sometimes..

12 more days and i will be on a flight home.. away from this rubbish place that only offer the saddest memories..

The more i know the more disappointing life is. Everything that i have ever known is nuthing more then juz simple lies.. The wait, the chase and all that talks abt being taken care of, is nuthing more then a lie to cover up the stupidity mind and not at all LOVE as we all want to know it. Rage will never want to go down no matter how crazy or demonic i beat myself in sports or training. The need to do something is juz a constant reminder of how rubbish and silly i was to believe that loving someone with all i have is enough to help take away all that is wrong.. The feeling of helplessness and loneliness juz feel the night sky with all this depressing notes.. I am not SAFE..

P.S: din mean to sound like that, but thats how life is and how things are going for me.. Will be fine, at least i have to be!

the believe of things will be fine, but it didn`t

exhausting out the energy that encompass in my body to stop me from thinking,

but it never leave my breathe and engulf my mind with thoughts everynite

Few more days and it will be the end of paper for this sem.. Soo need to go back singapore for some fresh air. At least,

maybe things will be easier for me to handle, then here is a little town of Palmy. 17 more day and maybe things will be better..

A year of events...

Almost coming to an end for my 2nd year in Massey Uni, NZ. What a year full of ups and downs. Whole loads of crap that was thrown from everywhere. The good thing is tis year end, i`m not going home with another pair of clutches.

Finally done with all my Nav checks. Took me one whole year but well, at least its done.. Like CPT Ashok said, I`m juz in a zone of bad luck. Need to put that aside and move on. if i can`t, i will always be in it! Next up will be advance handling and sims for single engine. Got to finish my nite flight as well..

Its been ages still i touch my blog and sorrie all who are always reading my updates. I`m sorrie for not writing for the past 6 months and sorrie for no checking in on you guys. Really have been on a rollercoaster ride throu the valley of disappointment to the cliff of happiness...

Anyway, i`m back and will try to stay longer this time round.

Exams are coming up on early next month; time to start doing past papers and reading up on airline stuff.. Flight test will need to happen as well, but weather in palmy is really shit with cloud base as low as 600 feet overcast. Sianz...

Will be coming home soon.. Kina miss Singapore and the friends that have always been there for me. Was speaking to a lady at the pharmacy tis afternoon and much to my surprise, she was from Singapore. She migrated to NZ after marrying an English guy and had 2 kids. She was updating me how Ion is fascinating with its basement levels and shops.. How hari raya was a festival that no one can ever miss, becoz of the multitude of malay delicacy that is produce by the family members.. I miss makaning in singapore..

Anyway, this will be a short entry.. Kina lost for words due recent events.. Really need to take sometime to get back myself..

This is part of my class work for Air Crash Investigation, playing with Lego air planes.. Its actually a pretty neat toy and i actually got a B787 for my birthday last year from some of the guys here.. Can`t wait to build mine and put it up!

The main part was to crash this aircraft and to find out how it crash. The day was really interesting as i was given a chance to see it crash before the rest of the class start investigating and finding out how it crash. Will try to upload the video soon..

A fren of mine is going back to Singapore for awhile to visit as well as to njoy the gr8 food back home. So we decided to do something out of the ordinary!

We took 3 hours out of our saturday to plan for a a trip to the beach for the late afternoon, couple with camp fire and some beach cooking!

Its been almost 2 months odd since my last post! Been getting abit lazy with it as well as not much to write as things are not looking too bright down here.. Anyway, here goes with some of the photos i have recently...

NewZealand Army has a rich history although they have never really have much wars fought on their home ground. Most of their wars are fought for others on their host ground. Many have die and many have made history all over the world.

Back to palmy on Earth Hour Night!...

Was our first time celebrating Earth Hour at our hus and it have proven to be loads of fun and great get together. Had some light sticks coming out from the bags and "romantic candles" being lighted up all around the room. Had to rush to cook dinner as we were out most of the day.

Been awhile since i load up something. Here goes....

Great Spy Experience (Singapore Very Own, Famous Band --in my point of view) Performing at live and loaded which is a live show on TV. These guys are teacher by day and musician by nite or whenever they ar free.. They are very good at what they are doing and personality wise, they are humble as well..

Some of my brothers from Church Care Grp. Went to Marina Barrage at Marina South for some self tour and gathering.. Interesting nite..

Its actually a dam build in the city. Very nice and windy at nite. Wonderful place to bring the special someone over there to have a quite nite and juz spend the nite away..but rem to bring some drinks and sweater as it can be really windy and cold.

Back in Auckland, Stayed at Xbase, ACB for 2 nites. Not to bad actually as i was put into a 6 bedded room with a couple of ladies. Manage to speak to one from finland and she is really nice.. Drinks anione?

My last meal in Auckland city before i depart for palmy. 600km down south! This plate of Duck rice is really huge, alost gave me a tummy ach after i had it.. But was really nice! Think i miss singapore food already at this point of time. There after i went to Sky city to waste some time away and people watch. Was playing black jack at a table and there was actually a guy who played while he is drunk but walked away with $3000+++ of winning.. I think the trick is be drunk to win some cash.. hahaha...

Back in Palmy! Life is pretty slow and routine. But its still good to be back with the company of frens and such.. Wend for a fly with joe who juz got his PPL Nav rating. Congrats! So we went out flying to the east and do some sightseeing with my camera. This is castle point, there is a light hus at the tip of that land there. Its really beautiful and will be one of my road trip pit stop.

This is Napier, where out "lunch" stop wld be. Had to make a full stop and use the toilet and such. So here we landed and chill! Its a nice place from the sky as its like a habour area.

Lets juz hope that the reason is strong enough at the end for me to go throu the whole odeal. Aniway, will be looking at getting my medical back and doing my flight test soon.. Juz had a check on my flight record, I had not flown for almost 4 months already.. Soo need to get back into flight and studies...

Althou' time is not on our side, we shall have more in the near future.. Sorrie for those that i was unable to meet up.. Alit disappointed but hey, if you are coming down to NZ, juz drop me a msg, will try to meet u up and stuff..

Juz some updates of the past few wks

Having a party at a fellow brother's home.. Christmas celebration with the church members.. Its definately an interesting nite, meeting new frens and catching up w old ones. "C" party brought up the creativeness of everyone who attended and nothing beats the company of frens and guitar heroes.. hahaha Christmas day lunch at Nigels' was good as well! The usual brothers in arms attended and the easing off of the lazy afternn at laguna park. Juz another day of makan and chatting up.. And of coz Fifa09 was the hit of the day.
Went over to TCC near Harbour front area. Its on a reclaim land off the shore of west coast and its actually a developers' building. The view was gr8 and the nite was filled with light breezes and wondering people with their hands inter-locking with their partners. Gr8 place to bring your dates to, juz to njoy the nite away.. haha.. Makan at NTU with the Poly mates.. We sure have grown older. In a blink of an eye, the guys are almost done w their studies in NTU and i have only juz completed my first year of studies. Dangz.. but thats not the point, the point is, we are surely not getting ani younger and time have come for us to move to a gr8ter level of responsibilities.

New year eve at Marina Sq. I`m playing with Jack's iphone and am really getting fascinated with what the phone can actually provide to its host. Was suppose to be waiting for the fireworks to start but was getting bored and wld rather play w the phone..

My creation for the passed 15mins on the iphone.. haha.. Am no artist for start soo dun complaint.

Gathering of the 58/04 OCC Charlie Platoon 1 officers. Meeting place was non other then Yaoqing's work place deep inside Lim Chu Kang area.. Yup, its the resting place for the dead! But it does have some interesting ground that have yet to be explored by many. Aniway, its wonderful to catch up with the guys, many who are still in the arm forces and married and many are like me pursuing for a high level of studies in their respective places. Hope to be able to keep in contact w eveyone and true frens are hard to come by..

Will be soon going back to Nz for my 2nd year of studies.. Due to my injuires, things have change and not to sure whether its a good thing or bad. But since it has change, there is only prayers and hard work to bring me throu whatever lies ahead of me.

There will be a few more updates i believe before my flight back to Palmy.. At least there is a hus gathering of The Morning After at my place this sat.. Stay tune..

Trip up to KL

Was up in KL for my cousin's wedding on the 23rd of Dec. Juz a small scale celebration dinner at Riz- Calton, KL. Not to bad, but i think its a little over rated and not to value for the price paid. Even so, meeting up with some of the relatives is a challenge. Some of the aunties and uncles whom i have not met before and some of their kids ar already calling me "uncle" damn..

First Wk in Singapore

Its not to bad being back in singapore... Meeting up with frens at timbre for the first night i`m home and njoying the live band and the company that i use to have. Its all together a different feel from what i had in Palmy. Different environment, different company, different experience.

Kina miss the simple dim sum that my parents and i use to have.. So we went to have some at crystal Jade at cozway point near my place. Its not to bad and simple for starts...

Was really bored one day in the east, so i went down to the usual cheng tng place at bedok junction, the uncle still rem me and ask me what happened to me. Oh well, the explanation never seems to stop aniwhere..

Went for Wala Wala at hollandV , althou i miss local food.. but i think the katong laksa at hollandV cannot make it animore. haiz.. i tink its time to look for better one somewherelse..

Was at the Seah residence for one of the evening.. Went simpang to have some local malay food and it was fantastic to finally have something i miss soo much no. There after manage to meet up with Joe's mom and his siblings, and of coz his 2 dogs and cat!

Things are coming along with the getting us to the weather and stuff. Seen a prof abt my bones and it seems like i`m healing fast but not fast enough for me to go back to palmy early to fly. Damn.. Guess i will have to reconsider my stay in MSY 50 and see what ar the closes option i can find. Its really stupid rolling down due to flight. Like what everyone kneos, given enough time on the aircraft, catching up is not an issue! Crap...

Anyway, more small time updates to come and hopefully things turn up well..

Home for the summer...

Finally back home.. Singapore is warm and humid as usual but the atmosphere is gr8 to be in. Touch down and the expected crying from my mom and cousin! Well.. alit dreadful to be coming out of the gate but well, one way or another, i still have to face it and i did. Met up with Lionel's parent and joe as well.. Really been awhile since we met and the 3 of us juz can`t stop talking and chatting. what time hell... Been staying under the same roof for abt a year now. We still have so much to catch up. Think its juz a army guys thing.. always have things to talk abt!

Flight home was interesting.. Was on a Boe777, flight was alit bumpy but manage to "tahan" the ups and downs that is cozing my ribs/spleen to hurt alit. But no biggie.. Lionel and i can`t stop disturbing and think we have made a fool of ourselves for awhile.. Disturbing the 2 air attendant that is severing our ale. Well, boys will always be boys.. but at least it took some of the pain away.. haha..

Bottom line, glad to be home and alive but there is heaps to do and accomplish.. hmm.. dreadful feeling but i need to do it regardless.. its gona be a long summer holiday for me..

The character of a person is how he/she is being brought up in the family and the amount of peer pressure he/she have gone through in his younger days. The environment plays a part in molding the person, making him/her believe that what he/she is seeing or experiencing is right and normal. But what is the real judgement of whats right and whats wrong? We choose what we want to believe and stick with them till we are either dead to the realistic truth or proven wrong in a way of humiliation.

There is no right or wrong in the way a person is being taught a skill, there is only how fast and strong the mind is teaching the host to adapt to the change in time and to re-use it in life. How fast or strong is your mind?

There is far too many possibilities in life that changes our aspects and believe by the min. We have to take a step back sometimes to realise that things ain`t always what it seems on the smaller scale. Choose to ask and be questioned on how the truth can unfold to give a better out come in the greater good!

Never regret what you have choose to do or done in life. Never be afraid or be threaten by what you have done and if the law you are up against, face it like a human being and deal with it.
You can run but you can never run away from your guilt and shame.
Fight and pray for a better day..

Hmm.... 5 more days till flight home to singapore! Been having lots of stuff going through and feeling really tired of it. Needing a long break to clear things up and maybe to recharge that battery of mind. Can`t wait to go back home and njoy the company of my frens and family and of coz the wonderful cuisines from everywhere.. dangz....

Well, during the period of exams and flights. We still manage to spare some time from the busi reading up and writing to get some chill and celebrate the completion of the PPL for 201B. Finally... As we have all agree, we will be having a fabulous meal at Lone Star, a local joint which serve pretty good western food and their Ribs and Drinks are really a recomemdation.. Taking a stroll in the award winning garden of roses. Not to sure how it was graded but the garden/ park is actually kina nice and peaceful. Company is good as well..
Mj feeling tired after a few metres in and taking a break by the train tracks.. haha...

I believe thats the end of all the photo updates i have. I kneo its not much but its the exams period. There wasn`t much to start with...

Certain things have happened and there is nuthing left but to keep fight and keep pushing for it. As there are some issues, my flight back home will be delayed but not for long. Shld be coming back on the same wk juz on the wkend.. Think i might miss Zoukout, but I will be home by the wkend. Still in the process of getting the tickets change and sorting out the paper work. Of coz, there was cakes to begin with and singing of the birthday song and well wishes and cake cutting. Feels alit older then, but i guess was alrite for the nite.

After all the major running around and smearing of cakes and grabbing of drinks, we kina had enough and came to a stand still and chill for some photo taking and continue drinking the nite away..

The guys got really drunk as i decided to end off but drinking heaps and going to bed. N the rest continue as per in the photos...

Aviation ball is a time for aviation people to unwind from the routine flights and studies and get some drinking done, SERIOUSLY! Was held at highflyers which is a pub, bar, makan place and whatever it is called. Althou' it doesn`t have what it takes to be compared to the balls in singapore.. Its good enough for a Uni town like Palmy

The ball was really a success with quite a number of turn ups, surprisingly. This wkend was Hari Raya celebration at the 49's and to celebrate Reza's birthday as well.. Nuthing special happened juz the usual makan session and massive turn ups of frens from Malaysia and flight centre. Glad to have made some new frens and to chat up with old ones.

Kina feeling really tired recently, flights, test, issues with people and not having enough rest time for myself. Its piling up but i kneo i need to let it down soon before it went on a toll on me. Its time like this that i kneo that i am only human and there are limits to what i can handle. Fighting is still always the option but now, its how fast am i pushing it. Oh well...

Sakura Festival

Was a day of relaxation after a wk of flying, planning and studying. Weather was off and on soo moods were also off and on. 20th September 2008 is the Sakura festival at the International Pacific College (IPC). Sakura, or Cherry Blossom is an omen of good fortune and is also an emblem of love, affection and represents spring. Thats the celebration that i have went.

We were really hungry since we had a late nite the night before and only work up to come for the festival, we decided to hit the stalls for some brunch first.. and we all had this japanese cake ball thingy on sticks. Not to bad...

Past wk was kina average with school and test.. Had two test in the past wk and 1 make it and the other was juz abt to but was down with stupid mistakes.. Damn.. Aniway, really need to forcus on the work at hand.

This wk is flight wk and i`m not flying for 2 days already. What the hell... Really need to get this nav shit over soo i can bring people out further away from palmy itself. Maybe down to Wellington or Christchurch for lunch or wkend trip to Napier or something for fun! That is when flying myself and frens out for a trip is possible.. haha..

Not much had happened since the last entry, things are getting into place and the usual day in and day out events. Kina need to spice things up alit, but i guess this is good for now. At least i wld have more time to study for the upcoming hell wks on test and all. Instead or non stop PT, Its non stop writting of test and notes and constant reading up on manuals and weather appreciation. hmm..

Really miss home! Not to sure why the sudden feeling of home all over again, but its kina like missing the memories i use to have. I kneo that kina make me sound old but everyone have memories. The good, the bad and the ugly... Either way, they are the only things we can hold on to.

This wk that passed was kina juz waiting and planning for me! Hav been playing for my nav flight out to WU everyday but to end up cancelling it due weather, instructor not well or A/C U/S. What gr8 luck i have! Really kina need to finish up the Nav flights one way or another... But the good part is, i manage to backseat a few flights out to get my SA up on the terrains in NZ and to understand the ground. One of them was on Reenee's flight! Reenee is half Singaporean, her mom is Singaporean at least. haha..

Even in a turn or ani manoeuvre Pilots have to keep a smile on.. haha Overhead Rejoin on WU for touch and Go. Its a pretty nice place and the airfield is juz by the coast..

The view if on a clear day in Nz is really different from Aus or Singapore.. There is juz soo much we can be thankful for when we are met with such views. Backseated a night flight as well and the nite lights of the townships juz illuminate right in your face at 1500 feet.. Juz as the song goes, "I see the light surrounding you"...

Anyway, read up on some Singapore Armed Forces article and i think this one is really cool.. The changing of our army uniform to the new and improved. Well, althou` i'm no longer in the force. I still tink its interesting to see how Singapore Army is growing and heading into to see how our future generation is gona change into to keep the goals the same.

Left is the current uniform with our very own SAR21, Right is the new and improve uniform with SAR21 and granadelauncher Extreme right at the back is the olden days uniform and the extreme left front is the current.

The uniform is made to provide max. comfort and better protection to the individual in close quarters. There are slight changes on it from the previous uniform as well.. Wonder when it will be offical on issue!

Coming wk.. More test and more stressful times.. Tough time dun last tough man do! Hope it last..

Feeling all stress out in flight, bored of the usual drinking hole in palmy and need some new fresh boold to pump into our blood stream. We decided to take a drive down to welling juz for some party time and chillax..

We reached Wellington on Sat nite with no prebooking of ani accomodation or plans. Juz some ideas of what we want to do and roughly how we gona get there.. It was abt 9 ish when the first detail got our arse to wellington. Settle in at YHA which is a backpacker in town area. The nite was kina wild with couple of pubs, bars and club having their sets of music, entertainment and events. First stop was at "rain" which is like a asian club/ hangout place. Music was mainly RnB but there was the occasional house and techno. There after we were hopping from one place to another juz to see whats the other club have. There was live bands for the more chillax group, strip shows and club and pole dance for the more mature and nothing better to do group and the more quiet group wld be watching either ruby matches or soccer matches at the pubs. The younger mid range people wld be hopping around clubs and dancing the nite away.. We partied till 5 ish in the morning and the clubs din close till 7 in the morning.. Tired as we all were, we head back to our backpacker and catch some shut eyes before checking out and head out for our short tour of wellington.

Lunch ended well with some of us falling a sleep at the table and making a hell lot of noise. But it was all in the name of fun. After lunch, we went up to Mt. Victoral lookout point to breath in some fresh all and to clear our heads.. As usual, the view is never disappointing.

Overall, the trip down was really an eye opener for me to see hows the clubbing sence in wellington is like and i`m sure of going back some time ltr this year to party again. Next trip to wellington, i`m going get meself a massage(clean); heard from a fren, there is one that is pretty good and my back kina needs some workon. And do some shopping...

School starts on monday and its back to flying week for me. Test and more study stuff ar juz around the cornor and i really need to get it done before departure back to singapore.. Nav flight is kina killing me as well with all the paper work that need to be done b4 the flight. Wish me luck~

Juz got back from town with the smoke still linger on my shirt..

Stars are shining brightly tonite with no vis of clouds. Its been awhile since we had ani clear nite skys and this is definately one of the better nites for a long while.. In a god sent nite like this, there seems to be an emptiness that linger close. Not to sure what is or what is not to be but am sure that i dun wanna kneo if it anithing good..

The darkest hour have yet to bestow on to me.. I pray may that all wld be well~!

Was lost but am found

Juz came down from my first solo Nav flight out to Mangaweka (DC-3; Cookie Time A/C). Weather enroute wasn`t that bad with clouds here there and everywhere. Winds was generally, VRB/03 and temp was 16/08. You can say is a pretty warm day after a shit load of rainny cold days.

Took off on RWY 25 juz after 737 Airnewzealand A/C took off on RWY07. The took off was really nice and not everyone can get a front seat view of the aircraft taking on. I was juz stone throw away from its take off point.

Once airborne, enroute to bunnythorpe was pretty short. Less then a min i wld say. Thereafter, I was in a track down lost lanes. Power lines and raising terrains look identical from the left to the right to the front. Sad to say, i have to be true to myself that i was lost on my first nav solo. No alam was raise as determine as i was to find back where i was, i use every available checks and procedures to find myself.. No mentioning i had some fun getting lost! haha...

Minutes and minutes passed and still no sign of where i was. Weather is coming in and cloud base is getting low, forcing me to go even nearer to the surface.. Few more feets down and i can start doing low level nav.. In the midest of it all, I crossed a double powerline which i kina rem it being really really near the ranges which i am not supposes to cross. Turning around and headed a general direction to gain as much ground as i can was the thou` that ran through my mind. This woke me up on my track and i found myself in a place i do not want to be!

Couple of mins later.. I manage to find Flat hill which is one of my pinpoint and got back into track and headed home from there.. The rest of the flight was juz njoying myself and making sure of where i was. Debrief was interesting as well but here is where the story end.

In life, we often get lost on our track. We can planned a perfect flight plan to bring us from point A to point B but we can never plan for the many emergencies, issues and things that may cause us to drift away from what we want. This is life... Juz like a ppt. my mom send me on trains! People come and go, you can never tell when the train will reach its final destination. The only thing we can do is to njoy the company and time we have with the passengers that bored our path and leave their tracks in our life. If we got lost, at least we are together and plan from there. Dun have to be frustrate but have fun.. Life is too short not to have any fun..

I believe what i learnt from the army, contribute to my return as well.. haha..

Was kina bored and restless soo started the day with the mindset of baking some durain muffins. Well, it wasn`t that difficult took sometime to do it. To be honest, it turn out pretty well and i wld like to thank Cathy for helping me who is an idiot in baking to get it out pretty.. Thank Cathy.. It taste good as well.. haha...

Juz another wk of routine study periods at milson flight centre and flying wk juz went by with the horrible weather hailing and raining..

What we can do is to njoy the time on the ground and juz be merry with what we have..

Invited some of the class over for some dinner at 201B. As usual, i cook and try to make all things work. Lemon grass lamp, sour plum chicken, some curry, mince with potato and egg dish.

Well, the next day we have a surprice drinking nite at 201B again.. some of our classmates bought drinks and came over to have some drinking session before heading down to town to party the nite away..
This is Sam (Aussie boy no. 2) and the girlfren (can`t rem her name). As always, after some drinks, things get alit sticky and out of the closet.
This is MJ who si the most sober guy but trying to look drunk.. dangz..

Hmm.. Things have been quiet lately with the weather over palmy not favourable for flying and nuthing serious going on besides studying and praying for good weather. Tml, the Singaporeans at palmy will be meeting the high commissioner from wellington, Singapore embassy for lunch in palmy. This shld be interesting..

Currently, there are a few issue i need to settle to maintain my stay and studies here. I pray that all these will go well and no major issue will come off it!

I seriously need to go get my ticket back home.Juz checked on the web from SIA for the ticket home, its almost fully book on the dates i aim to get home. Well, if all goes well, i`m looking at reachin singapore by 10th of Dec and get back to palmy on 16th or 23rd of Jan to continue flying till sch starts in Feb.

Quiet Wk

Yet another wk of no flights and no events.. Was slacking this entire wk! Cleaning up my room, the house and setting my notes in place for the up coming one. This wk was suppose to be my course flying wk but due to some issues, we are put on hold and only those guys who are finishing up their flights for PPL are doing their sorties.

Weather was pretty crap at times! I can even hear the howlling of the wind when i wake up in the morning! Heaps of raining and low level clouds bring the flight for the guys one step closer to impossible. But some of them still went out and praise god, they came back in one piece! Weather down in NewZealand is really interesting..

Had a makan session with the new guy in the junior course, 51. Singaporean and an officer from the Armed forces. So we can relate alot abt army stuff and OCS especially! haha.. it does bring back good memories abt the wing, instructors and brother in arms. Fought throu taiwan and JCC not forgetting the constant battle between Charlie and Hotel Wing for all the awards and pride! It feels good to be in that big family..

Coming back to life in Palmy, this wk will be study wk for my course. back to all the Laws, systems, Principal of flights, Met and many many more... Hopefully, i get back to nav flight soon. Can`t wait to flying out of Palmy control and see whats other aerodromes are like! Maybe fly down to some beach runway and land by the coast. That wld be a fantastic view to have..

Trip to ohakune

It was an unplanned and min. time preparation trip out to Ohakune township which is one of the town under Mt. Ruapehu. One day before the departure, we decided to tag along with Joe and his family to drive up to Ohakune which is close to 2.5 hr drive North-west of Palmy. Drive up was pretty cool but was kina tiring and sleepy due to the cold rainy weather. But nevertheless, we got there safe and sound with juz a few sore back and aching knees.. haha..

We dock ourself outside Beef and Bar, where joe and his family are staying for the nite. Catching a breather from our drive up and planning whats the next course of action. As for the 5 of us, we found ourselves at a backpacker place juz 5 mins walk down the road from Beef and Bar, call Matai Backpackers. Its not to bad a place with comfy beds and warm rooms for the nite.

There after the guys decided to sing for the souls on the road to earn some skii fund.. haha.. Massey Acapellas all the way from Palmy.

We checked out the 2 skii fields and to our dismay, they were close due to the weather that is coming in. So we decided to take a drive up to the barriers to take a look, both at Whakapapa and Turoa. Which prove to be a fantastic drive althou' we met up with heavy rain and snow along the way.

Driving up to Whakapapa the following day and taking a moment to njoy the view..

As most singaporeans hav not really seen such a view before, we decided to do what most people wld do, which is to stop the car by the road and start cam whoring.. haha.. Trust me, i think we have taken heaps of photos juz for 2 stops..

The wind is pretty strong soo tim and I decided to test how far we can go!

Since we can`t go for our skiing and snowboarding, we decied to hang around at the small town juz slightly below whakapapa.. Playing snow and having some fun. What most important is juz to relax and njoying the company of the frens around us.

Rolling up a gaint snow ball.. Who shld i throw it at? hmm... Its really snowing hard out and the wind is really strong, it feels like the snows are hail and hitting on our face like a rock. Not funny! But Cathy is having a gr8 time..

In such a cold weather, the best way to warm yourself up is to have some drinks.. Soo I did and got meself a Jager-bomb. But the shot juz dun wanna go down.. dangz..
Thereafter its more photo taking and having fun! Life is too short not to have fun and make full use of the time we have!
After a long day, we decided to settle down at one of the pizza joint in town and juz chill the nite away. Not like we are not chilled enough! haha

After dinner, we went to meet up with Joe and his family for some desert and it was fantastic! Ice-cream in such a cold weather is juz the way to go! We drove down a the local bar to catch the Rugby match, NZ All Blacks againest Aus Wallabies. The wallabies are really good and i guess its juz unluck for the all blacks to loss in that game.. Gd wkend i wld say...

Up coming wld be Nav flights and night flights for the first flight test for this sem. Pushing hard to complete what i need to to go back home early. If all goes well, i will see you guys mid of Dec and hope i can catch you guys before you all go for your holidays somewhere out there..

18th July 2008 marks the end of my Semester 1 in Massey with the completion of my PPL. Yes.. I finally done my PPL(R) and am certified to bring passengers up for flight as PIC. Anione interested in a flight down south? haha.. Next wld be to complete my cross-country nav soo i can flying even further away from Palmy with my PPL. Soon, believe me!

The wk that passed have been a tring and trying one for me with constant study and preparing for the test which Craig.W (CFI for MSY) asked heaps of questions. I also got myself confuse over my own ans. But it went well and all turned out okay. Weather over Palmy now is pretty crap with occasion overcast clouds at low level or strong gusting winds that wld really test the abilities of the student pilots. If only we can control the weather.. hehe...

To be honest, this sem have passed really quick! Rem coming in fresh from singapore, mind-set of an officer from the force and not stop reminder of my events in airforce kept me pushing till there was hardly ani room for air. Till things got broken and had to slow down my pace to amend the tracks. Come to think of it, its was really silly of me to keep up with the past! Hopefully, i wun have to run into it this coming semester.

Met heaps of new frens and made a list of those whom need to keep an eye on! Humans are as such.. But at least i can safely say that, people who have gone overseas for an education have alot more ideas and perceptions when conversing in a topic. Change is the only constant thing the world can offer and sometimes it can be quite hard to handle it. Aniway, frens who are sch back home ar sweet as well. No one is in aniway better or worse then anione.

Up coming semester wld be a packed one with more exams and more stressful flights out. Wish me luck bros and sis. Kina miss singapore again! Been lingering in my mind for some time already. Hope to see all my frens, bros and sis and family members soon.. Semester 2 here i come..

School Starts and a new beginning

Sch term have juz started and its back to the planning board for classes for us! The passed wk which was suppose to be holidays din really turn out to be much of a holiday due to the multiple of double turns and tut on days with bad weather. But so much so that i still manage to get some days off and travel down south for some visiting and juz chilling out!...

In the lift of Xbase Christchurch. Its a backpackers place and i`m staying on the top floor in a pentdorm. The view is not to bad and its pretty good deal for travellers who juz need a place to crash.

Went down to starbucks to meet Fave and Fiona(Wan's Sister) to go out. While we were juz plannning whats the next move for the day, i was invited twice to be part of some Coporate Treasure hunt thingy and they need a tourist. And the Tourist will get whatever they have hunted! dangz...

Fiona brought us to the local University which is University of Canterbury. Its a little smaller then Massey Uni but it has a kick ass 11 story library and a beautifully build engineering building! The Law building looks like some hotel lobby as well.. Rich School...
We also went to the biggest high sch down south which is burnside high sch. They have 3000 over students and are divided into 4 division. Dangz.. dun even have 1000 in my sec school.. The school have their own indoor gym, 2 fields for soccer and rugby and outdoor pool.. haiz...
Althou the weather wasn`t that perfect, we went to sumner beach for a walk. Which i think wld be nice to go bring someone special to. Its a pretty nice place with the sunset in the background.
The houses at the back are all build on the hill itself. Talking about waking up and njoying the seabreeze and sun rise! Sharon and myself on Sumner Beach walkway.
Back to the Xbase! The bar that is run by the members of the base puts up ads. like this and drinks are really $4 throu out! drink till you drop..
Met up with Jess who is from chirstchurch! We went for lunch at some chinese dim sum place and the food wasn`t too bad at all! Her frens were as interesting as well and there are heaps of asians in chirstchurch. We went to this place call ancestral which is like the most updated KTV place in riccorton area and they have tasty bubble tea. Very Taiwanese.. haha
As you can see! It was snowing for awhile and wind speed on the surface was really strong!

Out Came the Sun and the Sq is once again fill with people and passerbys.
Last day in Christchurc was kina quiet for me! As the nite before i manage to meet up with Cathy and went for a drink down at coyote and liquidity. Nice place and good music to ease the nite away. Of coz company was good as well...

Went up to the Gondola with have a wonderful view of the entire chirstchurch and on the other side a township port over the mountains.
I can see the powder on the white mountains.. Shld go for a skii trip sometime soon..
Came down back to town and went for a walk. Came across this structure on the art street and the name of this art is called, falling in love!

Well, on the whole, the trip down is alot more interesting then my typing skills and alot of intresting happened down south. For now, i'm gona be putting myself and the books together for my upcoming PPL on Wed, hopefully if all goes well! Then i wld be able to bring passengers up for a flight. haha! Wish me luck my frens and wld be pushing myself hard this sem to go home early end of the year!...

End of Paper, Beginning of Flights

Finally, the end of all crappy piece of A4 thin sheet recycle material! Felt soo good its finally over for the first sem. This really suck coz its been ages since i get on my books and do some serious studing but its juz the begining of my uni life and first year is the most lax.. More to come!

Flight is packed back to back with the bad weather for winter is closing in and taking the enitre air space and time from us! dangz.. Its freezing cold, raining like donkey and monkeys with occation hail stones from above.. thats the weather now in Palmy. Burr~~~

When down to wellington with Cathy to take a walk around on the passed sat. Juz to clear up my mind of the papers and some issue i have here.. Weather in Wellington is slightly better but was pretty crap few days back with airport be closed due to bad weather and Airliners were diverted to other aerodromes. But this day is gods grace..

Back home in Palmy, some of the guys from our class have gotten a new place and currently on their way to get the stuff they need to settle in. So, to ease all the troubles away, i invited them to come over to have dinner with use and cook with us!

Well, eveyone is juz taking a break from all the papers we had and drowning ourselves with good food and company. Joe's mom came over as well and made some really awesome food for us! I din have to cook for 3 whole days and that is really fantastic. A break for awhile at least! haha.. But all good things have to come to an end and i`m back on the duty board to cook and dinner for tonite will be chicken rice! People come and go around the life of guys in 201B milson line.. Few wks back, my junior evan tay came in to palmy for selections into Massey Uni Aviation. Think he had ace the selection and now is to decided whether this is what he really want. Everyone can stick their nose into the pie and make their statements, but at the end of the day, you will be the one to make that statement to say whether the pie is to your liking or not!

Next event i foresee will be my trip down to chirstchurch to visit Fave. Fave, Sharon, is a pretty close friend of my in Poly and she is coming down to chirstchurch to visit her auntie for 3 months i think. Wonder how is she doing.. been ages since i have a chance to talk to you! The trip down south will be an interesting one!

Last party of the month

Its the last party for everyone before the month of exams! Juz a simple celebrations of May and 1st June's babies.. Its David and Suresh Birthday and the fun nv ends with the party at 201B. Good frens came over for some BBQ and some chicken rice.. Wasn`t that bad till some rubbish came after the celebration. Having some 2nd thous' of the local guys and their behaviors. Having said and done! If they pissed me off again, I make sure they will feel the pain. Regardless if they seniors and position they are. Training to be a pilot, first act like one! Not as an ill-mannered brat..

Maybe a holiday down south. hmm...

New update of my flight.. I have passed my S1FE2 which is a Area/Aircraft Handling Test. Not to bad but still got lots of room for improvement. Next will be PPL.. but for the time being all is sweet and going not to bad!

Misses singapore pretty much! The people, the food and of coz family and frens.. Shld be going back end of the year if all goes well and next sem i shld be push for flight soo i can end of early to get back before christmas! hopefully...

The virgin moment of hitting the beach for the first time in Palmy.. Time was nv on my side to hit the beach or juz go njoy the cool breeze on the shore. Fly over quite often and using it as a turn around point in the air but not really juz sitting there and chill.. It shall be on the 18th of May..

Upcoming events are birthdays whom i have 5 frens in Palmy sharing the share birthday and more test and exams coming around the corner! Feeling the tireness from the books and notes. But am still striving hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Thereafter, will be a skii trip down south maybe! Gona start planning for it as well.. Soo many things, soo little time!

Finally, the last few photos update of the pass month! Alot of things have happened in, around and on the guys at 201B.. But life goes on if its bad, and if its good. Well, we sure njoyed it to the fullest of it all! Its about time we end April off with a nice few photos from the sack..

I was flying when a fren of mine was taking this photo.. It is a double rainbow on a cloudy day. It was a Low pressure coming from the south east direction with light wind and showers in the vicinity. Everyone was grounded except for me! and I manage to flying along side with the double rainbows.. it was a sight of my life.. I think i have not pissed my father in heaven too much this time round! Amen..

First of all, its a wonderful thing to celebrate your birthday and it symbolise that you are one year wiser and one year older.. Getting old doesn`t mean anything bad! soo have fun on your birthday like these few frens of mine did at 201B

It was the house warming or rather the flat warming as the Kiwis wld say it! and its Laura's birthday.. she is a classmate of mine who loves to drink! Kina young duhz! Celebrating the May babies.. we have Loan from veitnam on 1st of may.. Went to tasty in town which is a Chinese restaurant which we use to visit for dim sum on Sunday afternoon..
21st birthday, due to the lack of time and hard to find a proper cake, we bought some very delicious cheesecakes for her! its very nice but i think chessecake cafe back at siglap area is still the best!

Classroom fun is a way to get things going on a tiring week.. On days, we have a full day of class from 8am till 1730 in the evening. On top of that we have test off and on and other flying stuff to handle.. So lossening up and njoying the moment is a way to keep things going.. Apparently there are more but due to some restriction, it can`t be put up.. too bad..

These are some major makan session at 201B as all have already guess, the cook is non other then the guy blogging this entry. We often have guess coming in all over the place to have a meal with the singaporeans. Some from Korea, taiwan and even down south. All are frens and are here to catch up and njoy the company of everyone. Feeling lazy soo make something real simple to pass off.. hehe..

The break and the shift

Getting kina busi with flight as i`m into circuits and gettingall ready for my solo.. Kina bring back memories when i was in Gingin, Pearce RAAF, for solo on the S211. This time round there wun be a break in the training! Only a smooth transition to a restricted PPL all the way in June.. So far 2 of my classmates have made it through and soon all of Msy 50 will make it through and have a feast to celebrate the out come of it all..

Gona shift tml to the new place which is soo much nearer to the Flight Centre and soo much quietier for studies and home parties.. haha.. juz kidding! But it shld be a lot better then staying in the mids of the square and get all messed up with drunkens 3am in the morning and street racing throughout the night..

Updates @ Palmerston North

Its the easter holidays now and I'm not getting much flights out due to some hold back from the weather and my group guys.

Weather here is getting kina good for circuits but not to good for air-rex! Cloud deck is low and visibility is not that high. But never the less we do get some exceptional weather at times and the view up there is fantastic!

The front is on the constant move over the area and temperature can go around like 13 to 26 at times. Cold in the morning, pretty warm in the afternoon and freezing cold at night! Thats the weather at the moment.

Our hus is ready for move in on the 1st of April.. Its no april fool i hope as it wld be a really major joke on us with all the loads we now have on us and the test and flights coming our way. A quiet and convient place is what we really need now! Shall send in photos when i get the chance to take some photos.

Its getting quite bored in Palmy as all the shows are closed on easter and other public holidays or they closed early like 4pm.. The only interesting things are house party and maybe drinking at detroit or highflyers with the mates and frens..

There are some Singapore Poly student here for attachment and manage to hook up with them and fill them up with the life in Palmy. its pretty nice to be overseas with singaporeans as they tend to stick closer together. I wonder why.. But in general, singaporeans are really much friendier then other nationalities. Not to sure why but we tend to speak up when we are educated overseas. Maybe its the fight to be notices or the kiasu-ness of Singaporeans. Its definately a good thing!

Its back to flight, test and presentations for me at the moment! Next wk is Nav calculation for me and the boring aeroscience class which i dun kneo why we have to study that subject! We are not going to be scientist or something.. but well, its all part of the program and all!

For the passed few days, things have been good and nuthing of the unusual happenings at milson Flight Center! Went for a singaporean gathering bbq thingy in school with some international friends as well. Met the seniors and many of them are ladies that are studing Vet related subjects.. Soo i have guess that Massey is a place for Vets and Pilots to be in! But they are pretty nice and friendly ladies.

Took a look at this beautiful house which is pretty near the airport the other day and i believe we might be getting that place in early April if all goes well with our reference letter and paper work.

For that kina house, it will most likely cost S$400,000 or soo in singapore but rent we are looking at is NZ$370/wk! That is without furniture and all.. Think i will be hunting household stuff for awhile when i get the place and a place to finally wash my dirty car! Then i can send my car for WOF and get some fixing in the car itself to make it look better and after to put some photos on my blog! hehe...

A wk of fun and rest..

Last week was a good wk to recover from late night studies and drinking off with frens and instructors. Its really kina slack as i was spending time re-creating notes and setting up stuff for flights and studies.

Friday was out welcome party for the Massey 50 which is my course. Instructors and Lecturers planned a BBQ session and drinking get together at the AeroClub for us to mingle around. Weather was perfect for it as its the summer but due to the global warming.. Its really juz windy and cool!

These are the A/C that the guys at the aeroclub fly! Its high wing fixed gears and not really a proper place for parking. Althou' they complete their course in a year and half with the same or maybe slightly more flying hours then us. They dun get ani degree and are actually like farmers in the industries. Its the same everywhere for that case. The nice weather we have in the evening.. Evening Civil Twilight!
After the AeroClub, We went over to one of the senior's place for flat warming.. and this is not the guys that own the place but one of the flight instructor we have in milson.
Back to the AeroClub, some of my classmates chatting away and smoking away by the apron of the aeroclub.

The night was really good as most of the instructors are younger then the singaporeans, we have come to a point of sharing experience as frens and not instrutor and student.

We went to get Lional a car. Its not bad a car but previous driver was a lady and its kina pimp up with dragon stickers and all.. Lian-ish a lit ehz! But i was juz playing the owner's dogs and this one is called "Goldy" and she is 14 years old. Cute ehz!
Haha.. After a week of fun and drinks and all, some of my frens got soo tired that some fell asleep in class today. haha.. Well lets have another week of fun n drinks soon! Fight hard in Class and Play hard out of class..

The main output of workout is wkend soccer with the local guys and yesterday, i had soccer with some fiji community with the Aviation students @ Kelvin Grove which is like bukit timah area in singapore and the field there is like carpet grass.. This was the first time i see a double rainbow in Palmy while playing soccer..Cool..

Things are getting pretty well with the house shld be on the way and projects ar falling into places. Hope i can get the place by next wk so i can finally do some real cooking.. Have a proper room, Wash my car and do some weights! Fight Fight Fight..

Finally, the end of it all

The end of the first round of test and papers! Finally i can take a short break from muggin the papers and chill out alit. But the next round of papers will be coming in in a wk or soo.. but till then, its flight, maths and early nights for me!!

We were told not to horse around in an aircraft. But a fren of mine can't help but to do so and let us take a pic of him doing his pre-startup checks. Sat was the first offical rest day for us so in some good spirit, we went for some local dim sum on main street. Its not easy to find a decent dimsum place in Palmy. But the food that we have is not to bad for starters and kina remind me of dim sum with Sarah and Joel in Perth.

Like i said, its not the best comparing to Singapore dim sum but its the best around Palmy and it does bring back some food memories..

There after we went for a soccer match with the international african guys.. They are really good and have beat the school team in a soccer tornament. They speed was good, reflex was fast and shot was all on target! Damn their build are lean as well... But we manage to score a few goals before losing to them at the end of the day. My whole body was aching after the match but it was a good workout! More to come for the wks to come...

Dinner on sat was with Joseph's parents at a Korean BBQ rest. The food wasn`t too bad and the parents are really nice, they ordered soo much we thou there was another family coming in to join us! haha.. Joseph dad is a senior pilot in SIA and was from RSAF with the hunters.. Interesting ai...

Now its time to focus on flight and all and get the licence at the end of the year before flight back home hopefully... The wk have passed pretty well and flying in an aviation school is soo much more relax and soo much more time in hand then in a military flight! But NO compliants on being with the airfroce!

The wk of fun and flights..

The wk fo flight and fun was really juz flight and test... Had my first flight test out to the southern training area and back for some circuit work with the test instructor. He din really test me much on my training area work, not to sure why! I basically juz follow what he wan me to do and get it going! Did a hard landing, really not sure abt flight the piper warrior II at the point of time. The controls and the approach are really different from a S211 or CT-4B, thot i almost crash and burn when i pulled up hard then did a hard landing for a touch and go. damn... but there after the next landing was much better, at least i float cross the 500ft marker and touch at close to 1000ft marker.. Shit.. that wld be a fail landing for RSAF.. gona get some work done before getting back my basic!

Did my Air law test and it wasn`t that hard after all. Coming wk will be MET paper and Navigation on friday, thereafter, its party for the wkend and start studing again for more papers and flights.. Massey Uni School term is starting this coming wk where new students ar coming in for there studies and there is heaps of asian students. At least there are quite a few on the street during drinking nites..

Like i promised to post some photos.. here they are! This is a logo of Massey Uni on our planes.. Jack, I found this brand new drumset at cashconvertor.. it pretty good and clean! want me to send it back for you? haha..

and all it cost is ...Sat was the 18th Anniversary for the Harley Davidson's Owner club. Riders from around Palmy ride down for the event and their bikes were really really awesome looking! Its a culture for them and they are mostly called the cowboys on the iron horse! There were games for young and old and main event was co-ordination games for the riders and their passengers. Its really funny at how they ride down the lanes when their partner trys to place tennis balls on the cones or pegging up underwear on a clothe line.
This kina culture is worth to keep as most of them came down as a family where Dad and mom were on one bike and the children were either on the other or they drive down in their 4X4.
Coming wk, its back to Massey for some school wk and test, test and more test till i get home year end. Wondering hows things back home on the season of flowers and chocolates.. It wasn`t that big a deal here but there is some sort of celebration in town for it. Well, I'm juz praying hard that a better wk will come for the house, papers, flight and everything else! Something caught my eyes on TV earlier on after cooking up a meal and having some time off after dinner, we were surfing channels while a program came up and it was a show abt lesbian..

There was nude sence of sexual thing going on. Its juz talking about life of some lesbians in US and how tings turn out for them.. There after as we were turning to another channel, they were showing brokeback mountain! Damn.. Is it a sign for the kiwis to turn the other direction or someting?

Juz some food for thought before i head to bed.. Its currently 0030 in the morning and Singapore is 1930..

another wk have passed

Yet another wk have passed...

Have completed 2 papers soo far with average scores... Was never really good with written exams but at least its an 'A' grade! More to come in the following wk and shld be going up soon to do some flying. Kina missed the feeling of having control over the aircraft and njoying the view high up there. Too bad, i dun think i will be given any aerobatics rating for my studies here.. Too bad!

Have been settling in pretty well with my classmates and aviation mates.. Hav not seen the rest of the schoolmates as school term only starts on 28th Feb or so then there will be an orientation for all courses. Wonder if there are any hot asian gals or kiwis illege enough for a date.. haha...

Had a drink at "HighFlyers", one of the 'club' on main street on friday night with some of my mates and it was pretty good! Alit like zouk area concept but smaller and there was live band area in the courtyard and a chillout pool area where most of the older dudes will go there to bet on horse races or ani kind of bets. But the music was not to bad in the main room and girls to guys ratio was 3 girls to 1 guy.. around there lahz..

All these kina make me missed home! Clubbin down at zouk with friends or juz chilling out at cheezecake cafe with the brothers on sunday evening kina sounds good now. Well, I guess i will only know when i get home end of the year than..

Sorrie for texts as i have not really taken ani photos. Busi with my books and studies so kina left my camera in my bag. Well, will post more stuff next wk.. sorrie for the boring updates of things here. Life is kina slow down here with really nuthing much to do but to study..

First Wk of School

The first of school was pretty burn for me! Lecture from 0800 in the morning till 1700(5pm) in the evening. With 1 hour break for lunch at 1200 and the occassion tea break and toilet break in between. But the amount of notes given to us was like heaps to read and digest! Classmates were really from all over the world. And can you guys believe it, the 3 Singaporeans in the class are the oldest of them all and i`m the 2nd oldest! Damn..

Coming wk, there ar already 3 test paper coming in and follow wk is an exam for one of the modules.. The work is really never ending coming to flight school.

I really thank God for the experience i have from Airforce, at least most of the subject taught was like a revision for me. Except Air law which is heaps of reading to do and understand. From the expect of a passenger to the Director in CAA..

Been "cooking" quite alit here to cut cost and as a form of relaxation for me. There ar quite a number of supermarkets and butcher shops in town and off. Prices can sometime be alit higher than singapore, but when a man got to eat, he got to eat!

Got my car already for frens who wanna know! Its a pretty nice ride but kina need some work done up on it so i shall not post any photos of it till its done. But like i have said, Cars here are really cheap and not very well taken car of except for those "flash" cars that need see and be seen kina thing.

Shall keep you guys posted on things here as much as i can! Will post some photos next time round. See how things good.. First wkend in Palmy..

Its my first wkend in Palmy! Things been going gr8 with the exceptions of a few hip-cups here and there..

Arrived on Wed late afternoon at Palmerston North airport.

My flight from Singapore was delayed from 2100 take-off till 2315 take-off. Was practically walkin around the new T3 and appreciating the new structure. The departure hall inside is really classy and spacious for passengers to walk around. Alit like walking around Vivo, juz that Vivo is alot bigger and covered with more shops. The flight over was packed as usual with all sorts of passengers and air stewardess were all average looking.

Weather in Palmy is generally cool with lotsa wind and close to clear skys. At one point, I was almost blown away at the carpark in the airport, while collecting the car. First day was to get some things sorted away. First on the list was to find a place to crash at least for the night.. Was searching for almost 3 hours before finding the one i'm in now at Palmy 31. The place is not to bad. Rather small but comfy for juz the stay.. Thereafter, was in search of the car that wld last me for at least this year. Althou' cars in New Zealand ar alot cheaper than cars back home, its still kina hard to find one within my budget. I`m a student now soo must act like one!

This was one of the car at a aution centre that i frequent for the pass few days. They have different kind of aution on different days and prices can be really interesting at times. Brand new AudiTT in NZ will cost around $80,000 to $110,000

The car that i might be getting.. Not sure yet but it seems to be in the best condition but gona pay alit more for that.. and maybe meeting the owner later on in the day!

The car that i wld love to buy but its kina over my budget. Its a Honda Integra Type R! Going for $9,000. Nuthing wrong with it, its runs really smooth and no rust or faded paints. Maybe juz change the seats and its ready for race.

Life is rather lay back around here.. Guys here are engineer in someway or another as paying for repair service or services is kina expensive.They also love to suit up their cars at one point or another and race down the road on certain nights. Even a suit up car here is cheaper than those in Singapore.. hai...

Had my orientation on friday and met my coursemates! Its like going to an international school. There are guys from UK, Aus, Korea, Taiwan, india, Kiwis and i think there is one from Malaysia(have yet to meet up). There are 2 young girls in my course but they are like 17 or 18.. Really young in the course.. I almost fell asleep at the briefing from one of the adminstrative stuff..

Coming to more recent stuff.. Had a gather with some of my coursemates and they are really cool people! Watch Lee Evan at one of the guys hall and had beer and chat for a while before heading down for a (Singapore) senior farewell gathering. Farewell party was actually a "sabo" session on the leaving party. Was the first time we met the senior and we ar looking at his ass at one point of time, out in the cold by the river with deep heat, lipstick, flour, some oilment and a whole lot of rubbish rubbed on him. And of course he was tied up on the hands and legs, like how Jack wld do it on Audie.. Hahaha! Btw, the senior is a commando! haha...

Aniway, its like coming 1045am over here where singapore is 0545am. Gona leave to take a drive down to huntervillie which is an hour away to see the FTO.. Wish me luck on the deal..

The year is comin to an end and a new beginning starts today

Finally, D-day of departure..

Well, alot of things have come and go. Many military personnel die in 2007 like an epic.. Close frens have gone home to the Lord and people around us have moved on with their life. But Its 2008 now and i believe it shall be a good year for all of us..

In juz a few hours, i will be leaving on a jet plane to a new beginning! New environment, New course, New friends and whatever its gona hit me! This gona be 3 years of studies in New Zealand. Thinking abt how it was when i was backed from training last year from Perth. I din take long to decide that i shld go for my studies and settle the necessary stuff. Flown over in Nov to settle the interviews, multiple test and medical checks in Singapore! That was a whole load of things to clear in juz less then 3 months.. "The Fight is On!"

Dad giving out Angbao to the unfortunate people from Spastic Children. Well, this event was organised by my parents for my brother's school.. He is handicap since he was born and have been attending spastic children since young. My parents held a lunch appointment with the kids and family members to celebrate the coming Chinese new year. These kids come from really poor family. Their monthly household may be on S$600 for a family of 3 or 4.. Which can be really sad.

This is not photoshop photo but i did really get a go in a Porsche Boxster. Its a deal my mom got where i can drive the Boxster for a day juz for fun. Althou' its not the Boxster S or ani other better, faster model, its good enough for me and its fantastic to drive in.. New year was spend watching fireworks at a fren's work place.. Its in shenton way facing the bay! It was great as we were really close to the action in an air-con office without being in the crowded.. Its a good way to spend the early new year with frens and fave.. Besides going over to Palmy for my interview i also went up to Tokyo for some visiting and travelling with my parents. Weather was good! Girls were really pretty and in cold weather, they can still wear mini skirts, loose top and high boots. Wonderful view every time i step into the town area. hehe... And the food is definitely the best with fresh fish str8 from the sea.. We visited Uncle Ito and his wife. Uncle Ito is my mom's ex-boss from her shipyard dads. Uncle Ito is really talented as after he retire, he joined a concert band and starts his travelling around to perform for 100s and 1000s..

and this is the beautiful Kyoko who is Uncle Ito's eldest daughter. She is a really high flyer with monthly salary not less then US $30K.. Ani guys wanna date her? Pls be able to match up to her salary and speak fluent Jap and English. Mt. Fuji is really nice, althou there wasn't ani visible show fall but its still really cold and windy..

Well, IT 1710 now and my flight off is 2100.. Its time to say my last goodbye to Singapore and the wonderful memories i have. Good ones, Bad ones. It doesn`t really matter, what most important is that we can learn something from it and make the rest of our lifes better.. Life is short! If we have to make enemys everyday or regret that decision we made yesterday then we will surely die young.

The Land of the Great outdoors

The Long awaiting up date of my trip to New Zealand! Finally, some spare time to load some photos and useful information of the country and people. Think i`m gona try to convert my blog to a traveller's log. Thats provided i`m travelling a few times in one month. But Nov is really my travelling month. Fantastic! Anyway, here goes my log in...

Trip down to New Zealand is surely interesting and refreshing. The Country is clean, kina freezing at times and people are awfully friendly. Its a much slower pace country compare to Singapore with lotsa fantastic view of the greens and blues. Went over on a Sat night to Palmerston North to settle my Education in Massey University. Its a 10hours flight down to Auckland, thereafter, 1 hour flight over to Palmerston North. By the time i`m there with an aching back and terrible messed up bio-clock, its already Sunday's late afternoon and shops were all shutted at 5pm. New Zealand is 5 hours ahead of Singapore!

This is one of the few Pub, Bar and Cafe in Palmy. Its a place filled with Uni students, young teenager and young adult that are looking for some place to chillout and a gd meal. Palmy has a few church and most of the people staying around are Christians
Palmy is home to the New Zealand Ruby Museum. Its a place of history, honour and pride!
There are lotsa outdoor activities in New Zealand and Palmy. One of which is Shooting! Guns are easily available off the shelves. Other then that, there is also a great deal of Cycling and off road trails, Water sports and Adventure in the great outdoor.

Travelling around Palmy is pretty easy. If you are going over to the sch which is at the other end of town, juz take a bus from the main street which will cost around NZ$2. Else, cab will be a more direct way of travelling but it will cost you quite abit. Abit more expensive then taking a cab in Singapore but the cab drivers are really friendly and safe! Else, walking will be the best way to travel in Palmy. Everything is build around "The Square". Shopping Centers, Church, Information Center is right at "The Square". So its not to bad to have strong legs and start walking. Another way of travel is to get a car, prices from NZ$19 to NZ$60 a day depend on what kind and how big you want your cruiser to be!

Other interesting place to visit in Palmy will be the Ruby Museum on Cuba St, abt 10 to 15mins walk from "The Square". Its the home ground of the All Blacks Ruby Team and it has a rich history of Ruby Championships and International games. Its free entry to the Museum and photography is allowed! Next will be Ongley Park on Fitzherbert Ave. Its an award winning park in New Zealand for running 4 years if i'm not wrong. Great place for photo taking and enjoying the view. In General, Palmy is a University Town with lotsa young kids and international students. Lotsa interesting avenue can be found around Palmy but it will surely take a long time to show and tell. Therefore if you are goin to Palmerston North for visiting or juz travelling around, head to the information Centre and check out the stuff.

I also went down to the Capital of New Zealand which is abt 2 - 3 hours train ride away from Palmy, Wellington! Taking a train early in the morning at 0615 from the train station is really no joke. Gona take a 20mins walk from where i stay in the freezing cold with the sun still rising off the horizon. Train ride cost around NZ$22 to Wellington and if you are stopping at any other stops before Wellington then its different cost. There is only one train ride from Palmy to Wellington, if you missed it then you can always go down to the main street and take a bus which will cost around NZ$35 for one-way ticket. Which will take slightly more than 3 hours! The Station is located on Bunny St and you can have some breakfast around the area since the shops will open around 1000hrs.

Some pretty important delegate from Argentina are in the area, so there are lotsa police officers on the streets.. But i'm surprice their TPs are using BMW bikes..

This outdoor activities shop do indoor rock climbing and sells 2nd hand kayaks, water activity stuff and roller blading. They also do trips in groups and courses.

Houses in Wellington are mostly build on the hills and facing the harbour. I wld love to buy a house here.. No need air con and everymorning, i will be greeted by fresh ocean breeze.

Te Papa Museum, one of the attraction in Wellington. Its' like a Science Centre but it has rich educational values in the art as it educate its' vistors of how New Zealand is form and the future of the Kiwis..Since i have been walking all morning looking at art and culture of the City, i decide to reward myself to a delicious meal at Red Dogs. Its a pretty nice place for a meal as i can watch people walk pass their full glass panel.

This is a shop that sells party drugs. I'm not kidding and you din hear me wrong. They have around 15 to 20 kinds of party drugs for dinner party and level of fun! Prices are as cheap as getting a tin of mint from any stalls. They also sell weed and all kind of "smoke". We shld really party sometime in New Zealand.. Damn!
Wellington is full of backpackers and outdoor adventurers. At almost every other street, you can find yourself walking into an outdoor shop looking at track shoes, tents, sleeping bags, ropes and other equipments. There are also slower activites like City & Sea Museum at Queens Wharf or take a Scenic Adventure from the sky with Helipro also located at Queens Wharf. The view will surely blow you away! Else, you can rent a car then go for a Wine trail hunt around Wellington.

Shopping is a must in Wellington. Main shopping streets are Cuba Street and Lambton Quay! Cuba street is like 2 rows of shops that sell funky stuff and Lambton Quay is like Orchard Road..

Although Wellington is known as the Capital of New Zealand, Auckland is considered the hub of all international trades and acts as the 2nd Capital of New Zealand. Auckland is covered with Asian people, especially Japanese and Chinese. I was living on Victoria Street which is one street away from the main shopping area of Auckland. Travellers were everywhere and i can often hear Japanese or Chinese language being spoken on the street.

This is the Sky tower, which is the tallest building in Auckland. You can do Sky Jumps, Sky walks or juz go for the observatory to take some photos or have a cup of coffee at the highest point. This is also the place for Casino 24/7! Went in to take a look and wasn`t really that bad.

Few street away from Skytower is Victoria Park Market, you can get all the local products here.
This was taken as i walked through this block of houses built by the viaduct. The houses are really really nice and this is actually their backyard where the owners can park their boats or yacht.
But if you yacht is too big to go into the backyard, you can always park it behid at the back..
Jus like these few nice looking yacht! The one at the center cost around USD$500,000! Father in heaven, i`m really not asking for much but juz one of that for chirstmas present will be enough. haha....
This boat is not for sale.. its a refurbished boat if i`m not wrong with some high tech equipments on board. Wld love to sale in one of them if i get a chance...

Dinner was at this place call Y.Not! The name of this place remind me of a fren of mine, Nigel, and a place we visited in Singapore! Some horrible experience that really really open my eyes to a different whole back home.
Lamb Rank and local beer as i was the only fool who sat outside by the coast in the cold cold weather. But the waitress are kina pretty and friendly!
Next will be drinking at minus 5. I know, friends must be thinking that i`m crazy when the weather is already soo cold and i`m still going to drink at somewhere with their cooler is turned down to -5 deg. But it was a good experience!
Some travellers i met at the bar. These guys were from LA and Califonia. Came over for holidays as well and will be leaving the next day! Swell group of travellers as we chat the night away and drink. The glasses were made of ice and cocktails were going for a good price! Around the area were some other pubs with live bands or bars for juz chilling out! Its a one stop area for all the night activities. There are also clubs at backpackers' lodge and its RnB all night long.

Breakfast was serve at this Masala Dosa Store in Aotea Market. Aotea Market only open on Sat and Sunday. Juz like a Flea Market but their products are mostly first hand and hand made but the owner or local factories.

There are soo much more to do as well in Auckland, like Bungy Jump off Auckland Harbour Bridge for NZ$100, pick up point from viaduct harbour, Rainbow's End Theme Park at Manukau City; not to far away from Auckland city or you can try Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter Underwater World, pick up from Sky city Atrium NZ$2 for bus fare and NZ$29.50 for admissions. If simple outdoor adventure will do juz fine then you can try 4 wheel motor bike Safaris by 4 track Adventure, off Auckland City, pickup from Central City and bus fare is NZ$40 event is like one full or half day worth pricing at NZ$135 to NZ$235.

Shopping Areas are on Queen Street area, Aotea Market and Victoria Park Market. Drink your day away at the Viaduct Harbour as you can find good food, good music and awesome drinks.

More information can be found in all information centre located in all cities. That will and must be the first place to visit to equip yourself with locate area information, maps and important information to make your trip worthwhile.

Well, New Zealand Trip has open up more outdoor adventure sports to me and sure enough if i ever go over to study, my end of semester trip will most likely be working and travelling to these activities. Any frens who are interest can let me kneo we can go over some great adventure..

Next will be LimeSonic Bang at Sentosa. It was a local band party on the beach starting as early as 1300hrs. Till late or rather early the next day 0300hrs the next day. Was the day where i have to condition myself back to the local weather. It damn hot!!

This Ipod shuffle isn't something i bought off the shelve. Its my first present won from LimeSonic Bang.. Yup, there was apparently some Aids contest thingy where they asked some question over the sms and the first one of the set of question will win an ipod shuffle. And i'm the first proud owner to win the first set of question. If i knew, i wun get my Zenstone Plus or Ipod Nano. hai.. now I got some many Mp3 player.. damn...

P.Pangkok Island Trip with 8 Days Magazine

Well, this has been a really tiring trip for me but njoyed myself nevertheless! Bros, we shld go there for relax and chill out by the beach! Do some island hopping or some water sports. Juz that could we take turns to drive if we do! hehe...

On the 26th Oct early morning, we gathered at raffles marina country club located near 2nd link (Tuas) for a short briefing before departing on our close to 10hour jounery to P.Pangkok island, Damai Laut.

I believe i have drove 6ookm up north and 8hours behid the wheel! What a way to spend my birthday. But wasn`t too bad as i had my parents in the car!

The hotel is really nice and is like a country club where they have one of the nicest golf course and private jetty to ferry visitors to P.Pangkok. We were welcome by banners, local drinks and speed check-in to our rooms! Rest is really what i want aft the long speedy drive! My cruise is 140km/h min and max i hid on that day was 180km/h. On the return trip i hid 195km/h, while racin with a E320 Merc. Not to bad ehz!

We were allowed to rest for the night to get back our energy before taking the private ferry to P.pangkok island for our tour!

The stuff on board was soo excited that we manage to fly the first one. He brought more out to test and try! Damn.. I think he must have love to fly kites coz there are at least 15 different kites in that black trash bag!

Trip to P.Pangkok was exciting and enriching with historys and all.. After we return to our rooms, i can`t help but to book meself a slot at the hotel spa and massage parlour! I need to rest and relax my back muscle from all that driving!

The evening entertainment was brought to us by Mediacorp 8days. Host was none other than Irene Ang aka Rosie from PCK Pte Ltd.. She was really well-spoken and able to "Ra-Ra" the crowd. Lotsa fun and laughter could be heard throughout the enitre pool BBQ.

There are lucky draws, games and prizes to be won during the entire evening I won something too in the lucky draw. Was some 2nd prize at the draw! Gem or something...
Mommy, you kneo we are family and little jokes like this wun send us into cold war rite! haha.. Aniway, dinner wasn`t that bad and everyone had fun.
The next day was a trip to Kellie's Castle abt an hour away from the hotel and Caving at Gua.

First, we toold the water trial into the cave. Was like abit of river crossing but the water level is only till ankle's deep for the beginning! Was thinking if Xiaohui (OCS mate) wld go in for the caving.. hmm...
Getting really dark and wet! All the strutures in the cave are nature and its juz fantastic.

Sorrie guys, had use more photos than words this time round coz a picture paints a thousand words rite! Anyway, i really had to say, its really an interesting trip! Din expect to had soo much fun and see soo many things. Level for Driving in malaysia alsohas up one level. To drive in malaysia is actually quite dangerous if you dun kneo the environment well and the signs along the road! Well, this chapter of road trip has finally ended and next road trip wld most likely with the gang or something!

Next event will be Recce trip to Massey Uni, New Zealand! Departure on the 10th Nov night and be back on the 16th Nov. Can`t wait to go over to settle my study stuff and stay flying all over again! Kina miss holding the controls and doing some aeros. But i guess there wun be ani aeros in commercial flights! hai...

Right after that will be Japan trip to Visit Uncle Itto and Mrs. Itto in Tokyo! -- kon.ni.chi.wa wa.ta.shino na.ma.e wa Louis des! Wa.ta.shi o.moy.mas a.na.ta sek.shi... hahahaha... Wa.ta.shi no shit.te i.ru hi.to ni yo.ku ni.te i.mas! i kap.pu.ru dato o.moy.mas -- which means, " Hello, My name is Louis! I think you are hot... hahahaha... You look like someone i know! i think we are good together" Damn.. Think by the time i say all that she propably walked away.. haha.. Ka.wa.i...

Its been awhile since i update the blog..

Aniway, here goes!

The last i was on some event that i did for Sealsports. Some corporate event and Military reserves group. After all that i was back to work at my dad's. Working in an engineering firm is really not what i have to do for the rest of my life. Although, i have a dip in Mechatronic Engineering, but i dun really see myself doing it for long. Moreover, there are business studies involve in the work. Guess i`m more for the sky or out there roughing throu the terrains.. Haha!

After a whole wk at the office doing, planning and thinking! I had to plan for a family BBQ as well at my cousin's place for around 30 to 40 pax of family members and really really close family frens. Its not easy, especially when my mom said he bought the stuff already but in actual fact, she only got some quite expensive general items and more important stuff like the wire mess and the fire starter were waiting for the lord to provide.. damn.. quite a few hiccups here and there but was still okay in the end. Everyone had fun catching up with one another and there was plenty of food to go around even if another 30 pax of my family relatives come over. There was also a small birthday celebration. Really love to have family gathering like this, although many might say its very troublesome and all but at least i get to meet up with frens and relatives that i have not met for a really long time and sometimes its good to keep in contact.. Once a family, always a family! Its in the blood.

After the whole cleaning up and ordeals or work, comes the next event at the Botanic garden! Its my younger brother school's event for the charity by YMCA. YMCA is celebrating its 105 anniversary and to do it with a bang, they have got volunteers from YMCA befrienders and ITE college to help out as well as event coordinators to plan a 1000 beneficiaries concert at the botanic garden. It was a wonderful event and i have took lotsa pic. Sometimes we have seen advertise abt charity events for the homeless, needy, children with special needs and elderly who needs treatment. We might take it as its juz another advertisement or yet another charity propaganda. But from the charity event by YMCA, you can really see that these people really need our help. They need to be loved, taken cared for and sometimes juz a simply chat will make their days less painful and brighter! Children who are orphans juz want an elder sister or brother to guide them as they grow and not to see them fall prey into the dark side as robbers or some sexual item sold on the market. Being the health part of the human race, we sometimes forget that there are alot of the less fortunate people around us. We often complain that how miserable our lifes is and how we hated this and that.. I guess we shld really reflect on that and take a step back and look around us. We will surely learn much much more..

Well, next up coming event will be the trip to Pangkok with 8days mag and roadventure. Its a holiday drive up 580km into Malaysia to Pangkok island. And as usual on a long family trip, the driver will be non other then ME! Gona endure 6 hours of driving non stop on malaysia road. (more hours allocated due to traveling up in convey) Wish me luck and lotsa energy to endure the trip..

Next two major travel for the year end will be my recce trip to Palmerston North, NZ and Visiting Uncle Itto at Tokoyo, Japan..

Start of a new month

Its the month of OCT already, damned!! First wk of Oct wasn`t too bad to be honest.

Helped out in some event at Safra Mt. Faber for Olympus and Ammunition Command! Its new product event for Olympus on their new water proof camera. Its really quite useful for trips to the swimming pool with the family! All activities held on that day was in the 1m deep swimming pool itself. Its like a new product launch kina thing where the dealers will come in on invitation by the organising company to see how well the product is. This camera really caught my eye, can consider!! Then the following day was a Unit day kina thing where 600 over Military personnel from Ammunition Command take a break from their daily work to socialise with other departments and trash things out in the pool in terms of friendly competitions and building friendship. Met a few "Enchik", although they might look old but when it comes to games and competition, they can really give the younger generation a run for their money.. Outstanding !!

Olympus Camera 790SW

Had my Class One Medical as well for my studies. I pass it with breeze and found out that my qualification for military flying in terms of medical have not fade away. Hearing is to a level of 10 dB and eye sight is still 6/5 and 6/4.. Sharp ears and eagle eyes!! Lets juz pray now that all the rest of the interview and test will go smoothly as well.

Jamming session had sorta resume but i foresee there will be some disturbance as Nigel will be going off to Taiwan this coming Sunday for 3 wks, Jack is gona lock himself up for his papers to come and Audie gona be living off the main island for awhile. As for the rest of us! We are still here.. Juz busi with our own stuff and making ends meet!

Its coming to the end of the month!

It has been a pretty busi month for me! Planning for the logistic stuff at my dad's place, designing the racks and space for the materials and stock that comes from everywhere.. Thrown out quite a number of raw or rather useless materials that have been left in a dark cornor since i was working there 5 years ago and longer then was on a road trip to Genting with my parents at the start of the month. After that was into some volunteering stuff with SAFRA Advanture, was really awesome and exciting to see quite a fair number of Singaporeans portraying their weekend warrior spirit! There was some young teams, maybe juz finish "O" levels or so, paticipating in the race or "chubby" Office lady team climbing up the 18m wall. There was also a handful of expat in the race and even thou they were tired and all, they still try to put up a front that they can do anithing becoz they are white! Oh well..

Rest of the month was rather quiet.. Spending some time in Singapore for a while before i embark into more overseas trip. After spending my entire life soo far in Singapore, I wld say that Singapore is the best place/ country that anyone can ever want to stay in. Minus away the humid weather, some high standard of living, terrible queues and crowd whenever there is some cheap deals or "Hello Kitty" and last but not least! Some (Not all but quite a few) lousy driver who think they own the entire road / highway and killer taxi drivers! They never fail to send you to the place you wanna go but also never fail to create some accident juZ for "fun". I love this country.

Will surely miss it when i go over for my studies! But till then, guess i will try to hang out with frens more often and njoy whatever i have left with! Cheers..

AA 100 years and Safra Advanture race

Well, finally back and recover from all the driving around and helping out at events. The wk before was at the AA 100 years celebration up at Genting. Was a pretty interesting trip up with abt 147 Cars in total, excluding 3 VIP cars. There were mechanics and sponsor going up with us to grace the celebration. To all fellow members out there, its actually quite a worth it event coz its consider quite cheap and fun for the family to spend sometime together.

Next event was juz last week at the Safra Advanture race! Starting point was at Safra Tempines and i volunteered myself to help out at the race. Was pretty interesting as there was soo many different discipline in the entire race and interesting groups that have reg. for the race. End point was at Safra Yishun which end with a 25m wall descend for Open cat and 18m wall descend for Novices and Corporate cat. As for the Youth group, they have to climb up a rock wall to about 2 stories high then run to the ending point. On the whole, the Advanture race is tiring but interesting! Too bad i din bring my camera but sure there is some photos somewhere..

Next big thing will be hopefully my trip to NZ for the entry test for Massey Uni. Well, since i have applied and gotten a seat in Uni of South Aus. I thot to myself, why not go for the best so that i can open more doors in future. For many aviators who have heard of Massey Uni, its CAAS recognise and so far the graduates from the sch have done really well in the commercial lines. So hopefully all will go well and studies wun be a drag there.. Will surely miss everyone back in singapore.. but its a small and short sacrifice for the moment for a longer and better future.

Spending and Stocking up at New events..

Finally back and writing my blog again! Well, it has been a pretty long wkend and an exciting one that i have to say! Was up at KL for the paintball competition; MPOC, this malaysia competition that i took part with the one and only Singapore Team, Team RED Seven and learn more in depth abt paintballing and the works. It was surely a fantastic sessions playing and meeting great paintballers from Malaysia. Singapore is at least 5 years behid the curve for this extreme sports to pick up and get into shape to compete in a national level game!

But first, some pretty expensive buys for the month of August! I believe Aug is the month of spending! Becoz, i have spend close to 2K on items in juz less than 3 weeks.. Damn i really need to earn some hard cash if i ever wanna eat human food again.. i`m going on grass now! hahaha..

First buy was the camera that took my breath away. Panasonic FZ50! for the line up of our nations' birthday, i bought tis camera to take some fantastic pic which was posted in the last few entries. Its not a point and shoot coz i think its time i move on to see what other higher end cameras can give me in terms of photo quality and feel. So far, it has given me a fair bit of photos, soo no complains.. Close to S$1.3k dangz...

Juz got me helmet after i have successfully passed and completed my Ex. High Risk and DRC with BBDC within a short span of close to 4 months. This is surely the beginning of a long term investment. What will be next... The next buy of the month was actually the Proto Pants i bought at the MPOC Competition. This is the 07 model and its actually really very comfortable. Nice padding for the knee when i slide my way into the bunkers. Although i only use for the last match of the compition but its yet another worlthy investment for the new sport that i have picked up! Nice colour too! hehe..

Well these are some of the fantastic photos from the compition up at KL. Next compition will be coming to the end of the year and lets tryto hit a higher rank and work better. Thank You Team Red Seven for giving me the oppotunity to play in the compition with you guys and learning more abt the sport. Had a wonderful time and Thanx aaron for housing me and bring me around for the fantastic food and drinks.. KL is definately a place that i will want to explore in and lets meet up sometime for a drink again or you shld come down to singapore and let me bring you around.

This is the close of the exciting week.. Next coming event will be the 100 Cars AA Genting drive. Will be going up to Genting with my Parents in this event with AA and 100 Car convoy. Not to my surprise, i will be driver for the event and care taker for my aunty on her kid when she hit the casino with my mom.. Wish me luck man!

Trip up to KL

It has been awhile since i go on a solo trip to anywhere! Kina feels good when all i had was my backpack, MP3 and some printed directions and map on scraped paper to guide my way to Subang Jaya, Kualar Lumpur for some paintball action.

Left on the 18th Aug morning and backed on the 19th night.. Was a trip filled with gaming, meeting up with paintballers and learning the sport in a different point of view!

Navigated through KL city with my stuff in hand and MP3 player playing in my ear! Seems like my infantry navigation skills have not fade away with my air navigation from the sky! Thank you Lord.. Walked about 3 km plus down the stretch and through troubled lanes till i got to the central komuter station to take a train to Subang Jaya which is like the outskirt of KL to meet the gang.

Met up with Arthur from RedSeven (Singapore Team) and Aaron from Heatwave who brought me to TT Sports. This place used to be the extreme park set up by the government to promote sports from fishing to motorcross to paintballing for the young and the old. But I believe the residents are not soo keen in maintaining the area. Therefore, it is more like a open parked with some fencing here and there.. Has a few games organised by Heatwave and i was one of the guest player to play with this group of Chinese "Students" that speak perfect American English! The lady in pink looks cute yeahz! haha... After half a day of travelling and playing at the field, I'm damn dead tired and hungry! Meet up with Jane and Ben who were the Captain of RedSeven Singapore for some great dinner at Jalan Alor which is like newton circles in singapore but its a 700m stretch of wonderful food and stalls from all over the shop. Got my first buy of the year on paintballing gear which is the DYE I3 Pro mask. Paintball gears are really not coming in cheap but will probably get them in bit by bit! Why i choice this mask is becoz its light, colour is not too bad, thermal lens that prevent fogging up during games and its on a sale price. So here it is!!

The night was spend at Aaron's place. It was kind of him to house Arthur and myself at his home. His house is like a palace with a fantastic view of the town and the stretch up to Genting! Its surely a dream home to get when i have made that kina money!

The next day was some training session with the Team at Xtions paintball field! We were the earlies there soo we did some cleaning up of the markers and warmup for the day!

The olive green mask is Jane's mask and she changed the lens to Crome which prevent the opposite team from looking at where you are targeting and looks cool. Ben and Azlan also did theirs.. This i will soon maybe aft the tornament! hehe...
The place have 3 fanstatic national standard paintball field and there are lots of professional paintballers there to train for the coming tornament! Saw the match with the devision 1 players and their juniors! They were juz killers and their painting skills are like the MG gunner in the army but having thousands and thousands of rounds gunning down at you! its mean and deadly! These are the markers of the team for the next match with another devision 3 team!
The trip up KL is fun and an eye opener to see how things are like up north! Learned alot and will surely pick up more in the coming tornament at Xtion paintball field with all the Pros gunning for the champion title!

From this point on is ALL about paintballing! Went up to JB with the bros to have some sum with paintballing and a clinic by Singapore's very own paintball team, Team RedSeven. They are a group of serious paintballers and building up the sport in Singapore is one of the agender on their list.

Well guys, this shows that its really been a long time since we have fire movement together and going out for the kill. If we were only OCS out fresh.. damn it.. but it was all fun and no one was seriously hurt or injured in the process.
